The Atlanta Hawks and Al Horford have agreed to terms on a 5 year $60 million contract extension.
The center from the Dominican Republic has averaged a double-double for points & rebounds in his first 3 seasons coming out of the University of Florida.
Last year, he made the All-Star team for the first time averaging 9.9 rpg & 14.2 ppg.
Al Horford was born in Puerto Plata and is the son of former NBA player, Tito Horford.
He will serve as a spokesperson for the NBA’s campaign to market the league to Hispanics in the U.S and around the world.
