Mike Tyson in his early days.

Mike Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 with a 50-6-2 record and 44 knockouts. He became the youngest heavyweight champion ever at the age of 20 after a TKO knockout in the second round against Trevor Berbick.

Tyson’s mentor Cus D’Amato died in November of 1985, 9 months after Tyson went pro. Nevertheless, Tyson won his first 19 fights by knockout and 12 of them were in the first round!!

In 1997, Iron Mike became the first boxer to hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles at the same time.

Mike Tyson never fully recovered after losing the unified boxing title to James “Buster” Douglas in 1990. He went on to make big money from his fights with Evander Holyfield. But all that money was wasted after he stopped boxing because of an addiction to drugs, partying, and women.

He has since become a respected, mature man and now makes money from movies, appearances, and speeches. There is no doubt he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Sylvester Stallone in the famous meat packing scene from Rocky.

Sylvester Stallone never fought a boxing match in his life. But he has contributed to the sport. The original Rocky is a classic film that was nominated for 10 academy awards and won Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Film Editing. Yes…the movie is that good.

He also wrote 5 more movies for the Rocky character and title. Stallone also created, with Sugar Ray Leonard, the Contender show. The critically-acclaimed show produced many boxers who contend for titles today. Stallone was awarded the “Lifetime Cinematic Achievement in Boxing” by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2006.

Floyd Mayweather Talks About His Baby Momma, 50 Cent & Manny Pacqioua

This is Floyd Mayweather’s first interview since he was arrested for grand larceny.

I know most of this interview is annoying. He shamelessly plugs his girlfriend in and actually lets her talk. I just have to put it up in fairness to the “champ.”

Ricky Hatton On Cocaine & Drinking Binge

BBC News  – Former world boxing champion Ricky Hatton is “distraught and devastated” after newspaper allegations of cocaine use, according to his spokesman.

The 31-year-old, who has not fought since May 2009, has recently hinted he is ready to retire as a fighter. Continue Reading…

Unfortunately, Ricky Hatton has seemed to let the losses against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather affect his mental health.

Some reports have said the video was leaked by his “friends” to convince him to go to rehab.

But  that doesn’t sound right since he just announced he may never fight again a week ago. I don’t understand why someone would leak this video now unless they wanted to hurt the former champ.

Make no mistake, Ricky Hatton was a great fighter.

Floyd Mayweather and Josie Harris

ESPN – Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been freed from a jail in Las Vegas after posting bail on a felony theft charge stemming from a domestic violence complaint by his ex-girlfriend.

The 33-year-old Mayweather said nothing as he left the Clark County jail Friday after surrendering for booking on a grand larceny charge. Bail was $3,000. Continue Reading…

This should explain why Floyd Mayweather doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao. He’s too busy boxing it out with his Baby Mamma.

I already gave my piece on what I think about Floyd Mayweather, but I must say I feel bad for his situation.

There is no possible way Mayweather tried to harm her, because if he did, she would be dead with one punch.

So why the hell did the police try to arrest him??

Mike Tyson Wishes He Smoked Weed With Tupac Shakur

CBS – When Mike Tyson looks back on his friendship with Tupac Shakur, he thinks about the rapper’s big heart, explosive anger — and the one regret he has about their relationship.

“He always wanted me to smoke weed (marijuana) with him, and I never did it, and I wish I did,” Tyson said in a recent phone interview. Continue Reading…

Mike Tyson & Tupac

Mike Tyson, one of the greatest athletes of all time, SMOKES Weed??!!

If Mike Tyson can smoke weed and knock heavyweights out in seconds, we can safely say weed does not affect your health. Hallelujah!!!
