AOL Music – Buju Banton has been released from prison thanks to Bob Marley’s son Stephen.

Buju Banton was released from prison today

Buju Banton, born Mark Myrle, faces life in prison on cocaine charges, as previously reported.

This is an example of how broke music artists can be. Just because someone is on T.V or the radio doesn’t mean they are rich.

Buju Banton is a famous black musician who many would consider ‘rich’. Yet, he couldn’t even post his own bail.

Stephen Marley, another famous reggae artist, couldn’t post it either. He had to put his house up!

It’s different for rich folks.

If someone with real wealth get arrested on $300,000 bail; he’s out in an hour.

But what if he wasn’t that rich and couldn’t afford the bail?

He could make a phone call to one of his rich friends to post the bail.

The rich friend wouldn’t even have to post bail because he could just call the judge. Or he could call someone who knows the judge and ask for a favor.

That’s real money. That’s old money.

Don’t believe the hypocrisy of the music artists who say they ‘ballin’.

It’s all hype and no fact.

All these rappers can't be ballin

HipHopWired – Bob Marley’s youngest child will serve 7 years probation for growing marijuana in her Philadelphia area home.

According to The Associated Press, a Chester County judge offered 29-year-old Makeda Jahnesta Marley a choice: a shorter prison term or a long stint on probation. She chose probation but could be forced to serve the prison term if she violates her probation. Continue Reading…

Makeda Jahnesta Marley, Bob Marley’s daughter, has been placed on probation for 7 years for growing marijuana today.

Would Bob Marley Be Proud?

Marley was arrested in 2008 when she attempted to remove marijuana plants from her home after police had arrived on a domestic-dispute call.

If she’s the one who called the police for the domestic-dispute I would have to call her the dumbest smoker with the last name Marley.

Is it me? Or is America’s issue with marijuana all coming to a head now that were a week away from voting on Proposition 19 that would legalize marijuana??

I can’t vote because I don’t live in California.

But im going to light a fat blunt over here on the East Coast in honor of my Cali brethren.

Legalize it!!
