Marlon Humphrey may have been in Tuscaloosa taking classes to complete his degree.

4TheHype – NFL rookie cornerback Marlon Humphrey was arrested and charged with theft of property in the 4th degree on Thursday, January 13, 2018. The Baltimore Raven, who grew up in Hoover and attended the University of Alabama, allegedly stole a phone charger from a Uber driver.

At around two in the morning, the Uber Driver picked up Humphrey, the son of NFL running back Bobby Humphrey, along with two females near the strip of the University of Alabama and proceeded to drive them to their destination, the Hotel Capstone, when Humphrey asked for a phone charger.

The driver handed Humphrey his charger but the former first round draft pick allegedly refused to give it back. At this point, the driver exited the vehicle in an attempt to retrieve the cell phone charger but was elbowed by Humphrey who also “balled up his fists” and damaged some of the Uber driver’s property.

Once police arrived, Marlon claimed the charger was his but it didn’t fit his phone. The police returned the charger to the Uber Driver and Marlon cooperated fully with them. Most sources cite Marlon as having been charged with a 3rd degree robbery instead of a 4h degree robbery.

He was booked into a Tuscaloosa County Jail and released on a $2,500 bond. Marlon Humphrey was the 16th pick of the 2017 NFL draft and just recently finished the first of a four-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens worth $11.8 million.

Undocumented immigration, falsely known as “illegal immigration”, was a hot topic of debate in the 2016 United States Presidential Election

Scott Daniel Warren, a volunteer for No More Deaths, was arrested and charged with harboring two people in the country illegally on Jan. 17, 2018, hours after videos of Border Patrol agents dumping and kicking over water left for illegal undocumented immigrants surfaced online.

Warren allegedly ‘assisted aliens whom he should have reasonably known were illegally in the U.S by sheltering them’ by giving them food, water, beds, and clean clothes. The two undocumented immigrants were also arrested. No More Deaths released a press release on Twitter addressing the arrest of Scott Warren and the two immigrants.

Caitlin Deighan, also a No More Deaths volunteer, said “We see it as an escalation and criminalization of aid workers.” Just hours before Scott Warren’s arrest by federal Border Patrol agents, No More Deaths released the two videos shown in this article including one report titled Interference with Humanitarian Aid: Death and Disappearance  on the U.S-Mexico border.

The U.S Border Patrol arrested and charged Scott Warren, who is 35 years old and an Arizona State University instructor teaching an online environmental studies course,  with the federal felony of Harboring Illegal Aliens after they conducted surveillance on a building known as the ‘barn’.

No More Deaths is an immigration advocacy group located in Tucson, Arizona as well as a whose mission is to end death and suffering on the Mexico-US border. No More Deaths is also a ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson.

Arizona State University, also known as ASU, said “Mr. Warren was not acting in his capacity as an ASU employee at the time of the alleged incident and we have no reason to believe it will impact his ability to fulfill his current duty with the university.

Derrell Johnson showing love to Iowa fans.

Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz said “He’ll not play again here…he’s dismissed” in reference to talented wide-receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos during a teleconference call.

Derrell was suspended on Tuesday after he was arrested on possession of controlled substances, keeping a drug house, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and the complaint says “selling large amounts of marijuana”.

Derrell Johnson was the all time leader in catches and reception yardage for the University of Iowa. He was speculated to be in the first round of next years draft.

This drug arrest has jeopardized his chances of going in the first 2 rounds or even being in next year’s draft.

This is a real tough lesson. Hopefully he recovers from this and has a respectable career. He will miss a big bowl game in “The Insight Bowl” on Dec. 28, 2010 in Tempe, Arizona. He will be punished by his family, friends, and most importantly, the justice system.

The days of Derrell Johnson on the cover of Sports Illustrated are over for now.
