Denver Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen Fires Head Coach Josh McDaniels

Denver Post – In the end, there was too much controversy and not enough wins.

The combination led to the end of the brief but stormy head coaching stint of Josh McDaniels, who was fired Monday afternoon.

Josh McDaniels may not get another head coaching job in the NFL.

“From a personal standpoint, I’m disappointed because he was not only a head coach but a play caller,” said Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton. “I did really like him as a play caller. I think he’s a good coach. The players have to be held accountable, too. The way we’ve played is on us. You never want to see somebody fired.”  Continue Reading..

The Denver Broncos fired Josh McDaniels today, Dec. 6, 2010, after he brought the Broncos to a 3-9 record this year.

Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen dodged any speculation that this was because of the video tape incident, also known as Spygate II that occurred this year.

Where McDaniels  hired Steve Scharnecchia to video tape the San Fransisco 49ers’  walkthrough practice during week 8 in London.

I’m surprised Josh McDaniels was fired before Eric Mangini.
