Brad Childress Fired – Is This Brett Favre’s Wrongdoing?

November 22, 2010 Leave a comment

FOX Sports – The Brad Childress Era in Minnesota is over. The team relieved the head coach of his duties Monday morning. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will take over as the interim head coach. Continue Reading…

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress was fired today after a 31-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday. He will be replaced by Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazer.

Brett Favre should take responsibility here. Yea, Childress took his team to a record of 3-7 and an inadequate team. But all he had to work with was a 41-year-old quarterback with 8 stitches on his chin and one ankle at half strength.

He has even been quoted saying “What in the world am I doing” at the end of the Patriots game where he needed the 8 stitches.

How can Zigi Wilf, the owner of the Minnesota Vikings, expect Brad Childress to win with a quarterback that doesn’t know if he wants to even play??

Brad Childress picking up Brett Favre at the airport. Little did he know.

Randy Moss made that infamous speech because he realized Brett Favre was a shell of himself. Brett Favre, of now, is a far cry from Tom Brady, the current MVP favorite.

Maybe Green Bay was actually smart in cutting ties with the future Hall of Famer.

I don’t know how Brett Favre does it. But he has a way of getting whatever he wants if he cries enough about it.

Brett Favre has completely fallen from grace. He has thrown interceptions to lose playoff games and playoff chances for the last three years including Green Bay.

Brett Favre should just face it here. The season is over. His career is over. There is no point in playing in any more games this season or at all.

Randy Moss Is Waived From The Minnesota Vikings After Explosive Postgame Comments

November 1, 2010 1 comment

SportsIllustrated – The Minnesota Vikings have waived receiver Randy Moss.

Linebacker Ben Leber says coach Brad Childress informed the team that Moss had been let go during a team meeting Monday afternoon. Contine Reading…

Randy Moss has been waived by the Minnesota Vikings today, a day after a 28-18 loss to the New England Patriots on Halloween.

See you later Randy Moss...or maybe not

His postgame comments are obviously the reason Randy Moss was waved.

Brad Childress already has to deal with a prima donna in Brett Favre. I can’t defend Randy Moss here, he asked for it.

Moss first said he will conduct his own interviews for the rest of the season because they fined him $25,000.

Then he praised the Patriots captains, Wilfork, Brady, Mayo, and Faulk. His comments conveyed an obession with the way the Patriots do things.

All of this before he talked about his dissapointment in the Vikings players and coaches for not listening to him in preparation for the Patriots.

It was like he was campaigning for the New England Patriots even giving Belicheck a salute at the end with “I love you guys, I miss yall.”

And in case you didn’t know; he only caught 1 pass for 8 yards in the entire game against the Patriots.

Now That’s A Real Fan

Diehard Michigan State Fan Major Hester

CBS – A 69-year-old Detroit man has put off surgery to install a pacemaker in his chest so he can watch a college football game on TV this weekend. Major Hester deferred the procedure scheduled for Thursday until next week, after Saturday’s big showdown between No. 18 Michigan and No. 17 Michigan State in Ann Arbor. Continue Reading…

69 yr old Diehard Michigan State fan Major Hester put off pacemaker surgery to watch Michigan vs. Michigan State in the latest game of their rivalry.

I mean what can I say? This guys a warrior…a true soldier and a true fan.

Thats the type of fans Tom Brady and the Pats need. And thats exactly what Brady was looking for when he made this statement.

Randy Moss Traded Again: Is Randy Moss Officially A Problem?

The New England Patriots have traded Randy Moss and a 2012 7th round draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2011 3rd round draft pick.
Randy Moss Goes Back To Minnnesota

New England Patriots coach Bill Belicheck said the usual, he made the decision for the “best for our football team.”

Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress said Moss “can still go downtown and get the football, which is a stand-alone factor.” And Brett Favre called him a Hall of Famer.

I’m surprised the New England Patriots would have the balls to trade Randy Moss this season. I’m also surprised his antics had to come down to him being traded.

Randy Moss has been a problem for a minimum of half his career. He was traded from Minnesota in the first place for attitude problems and quickly traded from Oakland..for a 6th round draft pick.

He got into a “heated exchange” with the quarterbacks coach Bill O’Brien at halftime in the win over the Miami Dolphins and also had an egregious postgame interview after the week 1 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

For all of this hype, I must say Moss got over on this deal.

Moss gets to become the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL, go back to the team that started his career, play for a superbowl-caliber team in the Vikings, and play with his rival and 3-time MVP Brett Favre.

The New England Patriots give themselves a better chance of winning this season because the team will rally around their leader Tom Brady. Tom Brady can easily turn a no-name receiver into an All Pro like he did with Deion Branch and Wes Welker among others. And  the Pats do get a 3rd round pick to build on because no matter what they weren’t winning a Superbowl this year.

The Minnesota Vikings get a top 5 wide receiver and a 7th round pick. They should now be the favorites to win the Superbowl. The Vikings were one bad interception away from being in it last year and now they are a better team.

Is Randy Moss a problem?

Brett Favre Prays For Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne Loves Sports

MTV – He’ll miss a little over a month, but if things go according to schedule, Lil Wayne will be out of prison in time to catch most of the NFL season. Last week, the season kicked off with Wayne’s home team, Super Bowl champions the New Orleans Saints, beating Weezy’s favorite player, Brett Favre, and the Minnesota Vikings.

As Young Money President Mack Maine told MTV News recently, Weezy is elated that Favre didn’t hang up his shoulder pads and go into retirement.  Continue Reading…

Brett Favre Having Fun

This is my top choice for “The Odd Couple.”
Weezy & Favre?? I can see it now…Favre spitting the hook on a track called “I’m a Viking”…lol.

Only Brett Favre can give an honest shoutout to a rapper like Lil Wayne. Could you imagine Peyton Manning or Tom Brady even saying his name??

Favre didn’t do this for some publicity stunt or to get new fans, he did this because he actually cares for Lil Wayne and that’s something that’s hard to come by these days.

Brett Favre represents what American athletes stands for, hard-work, humility and competition. Other athletes should take note.

Memo to Randy Moss: New England sports fans do not like it when black athletes speak their mind.

The Randy Moss & Tom Brady Honeymoon may be over

I feel bad for the Patriots wide receiver but I gotta say he should have seen this coming.

Tom Brady, the “Golden Boy”, got his contract extension and that’s all that matters to Patriots fans and the Kraft family.

Randy Moss has shown throughout his career that he has no problem whining, complaining, and sometimes just not playing at all if he doesn’t get his way.

If the Patriots plan on winning a Superbowl they have to make their best playmaker happy and give him a contract extension, but that probably won’t happen.

Tom Brady Signs Contract Extension- Is He Now Overpaid?

September 10, 2010 6 comments

Tom Brady & Peyton Manning

CBS – A day that started badly for Tom Brady turned out to be a pretty good one after all.

After a morning crash left Brady’s car damaged but the New England Patriots quarterback unhurt, he came to terms on a contract that will make him the highest paid player in the NFL. Continue Reading…

$72 million dollars!! $18 million a year??!!

On Jan. 25, 2010, at a charity event, Tom Brady said “I think we’re way overpaid as it is, all of us,”

Let me get this straight.

Brady thinks he’s overpaid, but then becomes the highest paid player in the NFL??

I know Brady is a legend and I have seen his skills first-hand, but let’s face it, Brady is no longer a top-tier quarterback.

Patriots players are expected to take less money to play for a “winning team.”(think Randy Moss, Richard Seymour, Asante Samuel and more).

But the “The Golden Boy”, who may still have a bum knee, will be paid more money than both Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, quarterbacks who now play at a higher level than him.

The Pats desperately needed to give him less money so that they could use the extra money to build a Superbowl team again.
