Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Fires Wade Phillips

ESPN – Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones fired coach Wade Phillips on Monday, sources told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen and Ed Werder.

The move comes less than a year after he was given a two-year contract extension for leading the Cowboys to their first playoff win in over a decade. He will be replaced by offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, the sources said. Continue Reading…

Jerry Jones has fired Wade Phillips and replaced him with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. It was the obvious decision after the Dallas Cowboys lost 45-7 to the Green Bay packers to become 1-7 overall this season.

Deion Sander focused. He knew what it meant to be a part of the Dallas Cowboys organization.

Jerry Jones even said “There are a lot of people here who are certainly going to suffer and suffer consequences” after the loss.

The loss was embarrassing and depressing to watch as a Cowboys fan. To say it was an ass-kicking would be an understatement.

And im still hopeless. This firing is 2 seasons late. Too much work needs to be done now.

No leaders, slow players, wide receivers dropping passes, defensive backs and linebackers can’t tackle, penalties and more penalties. To top it all off…Tony Romo is our ‘franchise’ quarterback.

It’s not looking good. And I’m tired of watching this sorry excuse for a football team every Sunday.

Jerry Jones has one option as owner of the Dallas Cowboys: Clean house.

Fire all coaches and any players who don’t understand what it means to wear the Dallas Cowboys helmet. Then throw an irresistible amount of money at Tim Cowher to come back out of retirement.

I just want to get back to the glory days of Troy Aikman, Emmit Smith and Deion Sanders.

The Dallas Cowboys are a cut above the rest, sort of like the New York Yankees. What’s expected of a baseball player is understood when he puts that pinstripe uniform on, period.

Were suppose to be America’s team. The Star on the Dallas Cowboys helmet represents history, class, strength, pride, and greatness.

Yes, that comes with increased responsibilities and higher expectations. But the Dallas Cowboys are some of the highest paid players in the NFL.

If you can’t stand the heat get out the kitchen. It’s that simple.

Is the Wade Phillips firing a step in the right direction..??

I guess.

America's football team needs to get back to the top
