Tom Brady Signs Contract Extension- Is He Now Overpaid?

Tom Brady & Peyton Manning

CBS – A day that started badly for Tom Brady turned out to be a pretty good one after all.

After a morning crash left Brady’s car damaged but the New England Patriots quarterback unhurt, he came to terms on a contract that will make him the highest paid player in the NFL. Continue Reading…

$72 million dollars!! $18 million a year??!!

On Jan. 25, 2010, at a charity event, Tom Brady said “I think we’re way overpaid as it is, all of us,”

Let me get this straight.

Brady thinks he’s overpaid, but then becomes the highest paid player in the NFL??

I know Brady is a legend and I have seen his skills first-hand, but let’s face it, Brady is no longer a top-tier quarterback.

Patriots players are expected to take less money to play for a “winning team.”(think Randy Moss, Richard Seymour, Asante Samuel and more).

But the “The Golden Boy”, who may still have a bum knee, will be paid more money than both Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, quarterbacks who now play at a higher level than him.

The Pats desperately needed to give him less money so that they could use the extra money to build a Superbowl team again.

Yeah, I see what you mean about Brady not being a top-tier Quarterback! I can tell that you, my friend are not a top-tier sports writer or you wouldn’t have been shooting your mouth off when you did!
